Scott McTominay believes he made the right decision to join Naples from Manchester United last summer, as it was a challenge to break away from the norm and the results were good.

He made 255 appearances for the 20-time English champions and won an FA Cup and League Cup during his time at Old Trafford.

At the time of his exit, the 27-year-old had a year left on his contract. He was not guaranteed to be a regular starter under Erik ten Hag and so, he elected to go elsewhere in search of greener pastures.

McTominay has played for United all his life and has braved the urge to leave his comfort zone to work with head coach Antonio Conte, and recently scored a goal in a 1-1 draw with Inter Milan to stay top of Serie A.

Looking back on his decision, the Scottish player believes he made the right decision.

“It was a very big decision for me, my family and my friends to join Napoli,” McTominay said ahead of the Nations League clash with Croatia (November 15).

“When the time comes, ask yourself: Do I really want to do it? – If I think I definitely do it, then go for it.”

“Don’t be sad. In my life ยูฟ่าเบท or career. There was never a time that I had any regrets. And I still have it now.”

“I want my professional football career to be successful, and I will pave my own path, trying to push myself to be the best footballer, the best person. All of that is possible.”
