The Egyptian has emerged as the world’s leading goalscorer since joining the Reds, scoring fewer than 25 goals in a season just once since 2017, a story Salah told during a chat with Wenger at Melwood.
“I’ve had advice from Arsene Wenger before, he came to Melwood at the time and I asked him what the difference is between a good player and a really good player,” Salah told Liverpool’s website.
“He said, ‘I think a really good player is always focus on the game, even when he’s not involve in the game. He’s in the game until the last minute or the final whistle.’
“For me, I know there are games where I don’t have my momentum, I don’t have that, but I’m always focus on the game until the final whistle, so I have no problem with that.”
“Even Johnny (Heitinga – Liverpool assistant coach) when he came here this year, he said, ‘Mo, you didn’t play well today’ and I said, ‘Yeah, but I always find my rhythm’. I don’t always Register ufabet have good games, that’s normal, I’m just a person.”
