Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he never expected Cesc Fabregas to achieve so much so quickly.

But Fabregas immediately impressed and was appointed assistant to Osian Roberts before taking over permanently in August, leading the club to their first promotion to Serie A in more than two decades.

“Sometimes, when you go from playing to coaching so quickly, it’s difficult to adapt, but he did it very quickly. “He invited me to Como to watch him train. One day I will take up that invitation.”
